How accurate is the body-fat estimate?
Photo-based AI body-fat estimation matched DEXA at 0.98 concordance in a 2025
npj Digital Medicine study (n = 1,273). Your results depend on photo
quality: consistent lighting, distance and pose week to week give the most
reliable trend. Treat any single scan as an estimate; the week-over-week
change is the signal that matters.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos are uploaded to our servers for AI analysis and stored securely so
each check-in can be compared against your previous scan and shown in your
progress timeline. Every photo request is checked server-side against your
account, so only you can access them. They are never sold, never used for
advertising, and never used for anything other than analysing your physique.
You can have your account data, including all photos, deleted on request; see
our privacy policy.
Is LeanFrame free?
Yes. Manual food logging, the 17,000+ food database, your plan and progress
photo check-ins are free forever, and you get one free AI body scan. Pro
unlocks unlimited scans, retroactive analysis of your stored photos, the meal
camera, the coach and 30/90-day trends, at $9.99/month or $49.99/year with a
7-day free trial on the annual plan.
How does a body scan actually work?
You take two photos: front and side. LeanFrame's AI analyses them and estimates
body fat %, FFMI and lean mass, and builds a per-muscle-group muscle map.
At your next weekly check-in it compares the new scan against the previous one
and tells you whether the weight you gained (or lost) was muscle or fat.
Does it work on iPad?
LeanFrame is designed for iPhone. It installs and runs on iPad in iPhone
compatibility mode, but body scans and meal scanning work best with an iPhone
camera.
How do I cancel Pro?
